Using the shop
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to place an order. You are responsible for making sure the information supplied at checkout is complete and accurate. Products purchased for children must be ordered and managed by an adult.
Products
We take reasonable care to describe and display our products accurately. Colours and details may vary slightly between screens and printed copies. Packaging and complimentary promotional items may vary. Product availability is subject to stock.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Printed books are zero-rated for UK VAT. Delivery charges and the available payment methods are shown at checkout before payment.
We accept Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. The payment methods available for your order are shown at checkout before you pay.
We may change prices or delivery charges at any time, but this will not affect an order already confirmed. Promotional codes must be used in accordance with their stated conditions and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Placing an order
The checkout allows you to review and correct your order before payment. After you place an order, we will send an electronic acknowledgement. This acknowledgement is not acceptance of the order. A contract is formed when we send a dispatch confirmation. If we cannot accept an order, we will notify you and refund any payment taken.
We may refuse or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, payment is not authorised, the delivery address is outside our delivery area, information supplied is materially incorrect, or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse of a promotion.
Delivery

Cancellation returns and refunds
Your cancellation and return rights are described in our Returns and Refunds Policy. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights, including your rights where goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.
Promotional gifts
Where an order qualifies for a complimentary gift, the offer is available only while stocks last and has no cash alternative. Unless stated otherwise, one promotional gift bundle is supplied per qualifying order. If the qualifying order is cancelled and returned, please also return any complimentary items supplied with it where reasonably possible.
Intellectual property
The website and its content, including text, illustrations, photographs, characters, branding, logos and book content, are owned by and licensed to Mitzi & Theobald Ltd and are protected by intellectual property law. You may view the website for personal use, but you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell or commercially exploit its content without our prior written permission.
Our responsibility
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, business losses arising from a consumer purchase, or delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, although we will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you continue to benefit from any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live and may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law. Please contact us first so that we can try to resolve any concern. We may update these terms from time to time, but the terms in force when your order is placed will apply to that order.
