Returns & Refunds

We hope you love your book. This policy explains how to cancel an online order, return an unwanted item, or report a faulty, damaged or incorrect item.

Changing your mind

You may cancel an online purchase without giving a reason by telling us within 14 days after the day the goods are delivered to you or to a person nominated by you. Email info@mitziandtheobald.com and include your name, order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel.

After notifying us, you must send the goods back within a further 14 days. Unless we agree otherwise, you are responsible for the return postage cost and for packaging the book securely so that it reaches us safely.

We strongly recommend using a tracked service and retaining proof of postage. Please contact us for return instructions. You do not have to wait for our reply before returning the goods within the stated period.

Condition of returned goods

You may inspect the book as you would in a shop. You are responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and condition of the goods. Please return the book securely packaged and, where reasonably possible, include any complimentary items supplied with the order.

Refunds after cancellation

We will refund the price paid for the returned goods and the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. You are responsible for the cost of returning unwanted goods. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods or you provide evidence that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first. Returned goods will be inspected on arrival. If handling beyond what is reasonably necessary has reduced their value, we may make a deduction from the refund as permitted by law.

The refund will be made within 14 days after that point, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise.

Faulty damaged or incorrect goods

If a book is faulty, damaged in transit, not as described or you receive the wrong item, contact info@mitziandtheobald.com as soon as possible with your order number and, where relevant, clear photographs of the item and packaging. We will arrange an appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.

Orders that do not arrive

If tracking shows a problem or your order has not arrived within the expected period, contact us so that we can investigate. Responsibility for resolving a lost delivery remains with Mitzi & Theobald Ltd.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 or other applicable consumer law.
